Xcaret
Xcaret, formerly Pole, was an important Mayan population settlement before the arrival of the Spanish conquerors in the sixteenth century. Currently is an ecological theme park located in the Riviera Maya, 5 km south of Playa del Carmen and 75 miles south of Cancun, in the state of Quintana Roo, Mexico. For the Maya civilization this site was an important port and commercial center and in which archaeological remains can still be seen.

Xel-Ha, the world's largest natural aquarium ideal for snorkeling.
Xel-Ha is an ecological park located in the state of Quintana Roo, Mexico. Its main asset is a large creek where the water of a river meets the Caribbean Sea, forming an ideal environment where over 70 marine and freshwater species live together.

Xel-Ha is known as the world's largest natural aquarium. Also, as a space that guards numerous specimens of flora and fauna of the region, it was granted to Xel-Ha the title of Natural wonder of Mexico.

Akumal
Akumal is the first resort on the coastline of the Yucatan peninsula bathed by the Caribbean Sea. Akumal is a small tourist destination that remains unspoiled.

Swimming and snorkeling are excellent choices in their coves, such as Kantena, Xaac, Half Moon Bay and Lake Yalku. In Yalku There there's a natural spring on its rocky area, and in that environment a lot of colorful tropical fish live their youth away from predators. Playa del Carmen

Sian Ka'an
Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve is a protected natural area, is located on the Caribbean coast state of Quintana Roo, Mexico. Unesco declared it a World Heritage Site in 1987.

On the coast of this Biosphere Reserve we can find spacious white sandy beaches, small bays and mangroves, among other ecological systems. A very unique ecosystem in the wetlands of Sian Ka'an is the hummock forests called, masses of trees that can measure up to thirty feet high and rising among the swamps grasses. These plant communities are almost unique in the world.
